There can be no rebirth without a dark night of the soul, a total annihilation of all that you believed in and thought that you were. – Hazrat Inayat Khan
One of the most beautiful things about life is that it always gives room for improvement. It gives countless opportunities for us to grow and become better individuals.
In most of my blog posts, I have shared some of my experiences about my past and how much I have grown. I am a living testimony of a beautiful woman reborn.
Overcoming my fears, depression, inferiority complexes, people-pleasing attitude, worries, anxieties, has no doubt made me the absolutely confident, amazing, superbly fun, graceful, charming, attractive and most importantly beautiful woman I am today.
I have cried, I have laughed. I have experienced pains, hurts and now, I bask in the beauty of life. I only just existed as life for me was meaningless and without purpose or direction but now, I live a happy life so wonderful and amazing that I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It can only get better.
My heart has been broken and now I glory in the magnificence of true love most unbelievably beautiful, romantic and all-so amazing.
Today, I am a woman of grace; a woman of beauty; a woman of valor.
God has been amazingly faithful, wonderful, glorious and awesome…..in fact, I can’t be who I am today without His grace, mercy and favor. He is the best Father, most loving friend and most trusted and faithful companion.
With God, with His bright light constantly illuminating my soul and with His guiding hands leading me in the direction of my life’s purpose, life couldn’t be sweeter or more beautiful.
Dearest one, your life, everyone’s life can be as beautiful, wonderful and amazing as I speak of mine. It’s a choice only you can make.
Choose happiness. Choose forgiveness. Choose laughter. Choose love. Choose Life.
No more cowering in the shadows. You have a right to live freely just as anyone. You have never been nor will you ever be a second – class citizen. You are an embodiment of greatness and yes, you are enough.
Yes, sweetie, l speak about you…… You are great. You are beautiful. You are enough. Of course, you are. God created you specially to be your own person….to love, to live, to laugh.
You are a personification of strength and grace. From you generations spring forth, as a result of your responsibility as co-creator of life. You are charged with the duty of making the world a better place by raising Kings and Queens with good hearts to rule as man and woman side by side.
You are the mother of nations. This is your world to build to just like man. Take charge of your life today. Be determined to live a happy and purposeful life and not just exist. You are a woman of wisdom; a woman of valor.
Maya Angelou said, “A woman in harmony with her spirit is like a river flowing. She goes where she will without pretense and arrives at her destination prepared to be herself……And only herself”.
Be like the eagle and soar higher than your have ever done.
Do not be afraid to go into the world and live out your life. As Louisa May Alcott, “I am no longer afraid of the storms, for I am learning to sail my ship”. Now you realize who you are.
Gorgeous chics! Beautiful Boss Ladies! Now, you know who you are. Now you are reborn. Don’t just launch yourself out there just yet. Like the eagle, take out time to think and re-strategize your life. Take out time to be alone and meditate.
Oscar wilde said, “I think it’s very healthy to spend time alone. You need to know how to be alone and not be defined by another person”. This is very true. Sometimes, taking time out of this busy world is all one needs to regain sanity and re-invigoration.
No matter what your past has been, dear one, you can always begin again. Let go of all the hurts, pains and bitterness and like the phoenix, rise again from your ashes and be the great woman you are born to be.
Barbara De Angelis in agreement also says, “Women need real moments of solitude and self-reflection to balance out how much of ourselves we give away”. We almost always give all of ourselves away, living solely for others and forgetting to live for ourselves.
Steve Job says, “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuitions”.
When woman truly loves, she does so in totality, giving the whole of herself to man; giving herself in entirety to her family. She doesn’t hold back not even an ounce of herself but she gives all of her.
This is great. This is wonderful. This is who she is. However, the bible which encourages us to love our neighbors said to love them as we love ourselves (Matt 22:39).
How do we treat others? It is expected that it is how we treat ourselves, right? Now, the question is how do we love others if we do not know how to love ourselves?
Jesus understood this very fact and that is why He said to love others as we love ourselves. Remember, we can’t give what we do not have. To properly love another, we have to first experience love and before any other person can love us or before we can love another, we first have to LOVE OURSELVES.
Love is not slavery; it is not imprisonment; it is neither bondage nor captivity. Love is joyful; it is happy; it is laughter; it is peace; even in difficult times, it is all smiles. Love is life.
We have to discover who we are and what we want. We have to love ourselves as we are and strive to be the best of who we can be. Do your utmost to be better than you were just the moment before; to shine brighter; to smile more and live more.
So, sweetie, take out time to know yourself, understand yourself and love yourself so your heart wouldn’t be found wanting.
It is how you present yourself out to the world that you would be taken. If you show that you are a woman desperately in need of love, you would be taken advantage of and your heart would not tire of getting hurt but if you hold yourself in high esteem, if you love yourself, you wouldn’t be treated any differently by the world.
You would also be loved and treated in high esteem. It’s just the way the world works. You can’t wish to be treated as a princess when you treat yourself as a pauper. It is not done. Love yourselves that others may love you. Be happy! Not everything costs money.
You live life only once. Do things you want to do so long as it pleases God. Shake off those cuffs of restrictions and limitations. Allow yourself to be free. Allow your inner self that peace, joy and laughter it so longs for. The world wouldn’t come to an end if you allow yourself to smile.
The universe wouldn’t come crashing down if you allow yourself to be genuinely happy. It is what you feel in the depths of your soul that you can transfer to others. If you feel love, you will give love. If you feel depressed, you will give depression.
If you feel laughter, joy and happiness, you will give same to the world. So if you want to be a woman of greatness, then feel greatness inside of you. Greatness is not associated with gloom or boundaries. You have to dare to take risks to make ground-breaking success.
Stop hiding in your shells. It is a beautiful life. It is a beautiful day. Come out and smell the fresh breeze. Come feel the gentle wind on your face. Come feel the rain drops on your skin. Come feel the cool waters of the ocean as they wash across your feet. Come listen to the gentle whistling of the trees and the humming of the birds. Come race with the horses and dogs. Come feed the fishes. Come pet the kittens and puppies.
Live your life and be fulfilled.
